Girls Weekend

This past weekend was my sister's bridal shower in Dallas so Olivia, Gigi (my mom) and I made the trip to spend the weekend with her. Other than the drive to and from Dallas it was a great visit. I got to see Bethany's cute new house and spend time catching up. Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Arboretum to take Olivia to the pumpkin patch. I have never been to the Arboretum in Dallas and could not get over how big and absolutely beautiful it was. I could have spent hours there but I needed to get some stuff done for the shower. We had a great turn out and it was fun meeting so many of the people in my sister's life in Dallas. We got home in time to order some food and watch the Rangers win the ALCS. Sunday we spent the morning at the State Fair introducing Olivia to the joy that is a corn dog and funnel cake. We didn't do any of the fried bubble gum, margaritas or butter but we did see lots of baby animals and make a stop at Big Tex. After the fair we made a stop by the Rangers store in Uptown to get Olivia something to wear while we watch the World Series.
It was such a great weekend and I can't believe that the next time I see my little sister it will be for her wedding weekend. I already get pretty emotional just thinking about it.
